Why Did Iran Bomb Northern Iraq on March 13th, 2022?
Iran Officials claim the attack in Northern Iraq was in response to a previous secret Israeli airstrike on an Iranian drone factory last month, in February of 2022. The Iranians believe the attacked was launched by the Israeli intelligence operatives based in Northern Iraq!
All we know for sure is over 100 military drones were destroyed in Iran in February of 2022, by Israel.
Iran Officials swear they traced the attack back to an Israeli operation in a building in Northern Iraq. The Baghdad government has known for some time that the Kurdistan Region has developed ties to Israel.
This is not the first time Iraq has been disrespected by one of its neighbors. Turkey too, has bombed targets in Northern Iraq reporting terrorist activity.
As Iraqi Dinar Investors, we can only hope that this issue is resolved peacefully. The Iraqi Prime Minister contacted the Iranian Ambassador and told him Iran’s actions were unacceptable.
In the meantime, Russia increases oil exports despite European and US embargo. Apparently more Russian oil is going to China and India
Oil prices went up 8% this week due to the Russian Ukraine conflict. I understand gas in the United States is up to $4.39 per gallon. I am in the Caribbean where the cost of food is rising slowly, due to the increased cost in food exports from the U.S. My motorcycle taxi driver charged me a little more than usual, other than that, there is little evidence of a war in the Ukraine.
