What I learned about being retired and single in Puerto Vallarta
Retired men and male digital nomads have it much easier. The Mexican women are beautiful, and they are waiting for men from the United States and Canada. There is little hope for women who are recently retired and looking for a solid dating companion. Oh, the men are nice enough, yet, in the end, it seems they always end up with the younger more attractive Mexican woman.
No problem. Some of retired women who are not ready to give up on dating, turn the table and date attractive younger Mexican men. It turns out it was more about eye candy than substantial relationships.
One thing I did notice about the men, is they almost always end up not only taking care of their female partner, but also sharing income with the entire family. So ladies, if you are single and looking for a date, you may need to become a cougar. This is just my observation after five years in Puerto Vallarta. You should also know Puerto Vallarta old town has a large gay population.
Now, there are a few American women married to Mexican men, and everyone in the family one by one is trying for US citizenship. Funny thing with one couple was she didn’t want to return to the US, so the family had to settle for living a higher quality of life right there in Mexico.
