It is not loneliness; it is being alone.

People who cannot stand to be alone for long periods of time, rarely continue the lifestyle of a digital nomad or an expat traveling the world, solo and slowly.

There are just too many times when you are alone.

If you do not enjoy long periods of time without the interaction with other humans, then traveling the world solo or slowly, may not be for you. Of course, when you find a partner that you can live with, without the stress, then that’s another story.

Many of the younger digital nomad's hookup with travel partners or travel buddies, roommates or sexual partners to avoid the being alone status.

However, when you are retired and you have two marriages, one marriage that left you a widow, you are slow to jump into a relationship of any kind.

The first issue is, depending on which country you are in, the ultimate goal of suitable suitors can vary from needing money to wanting to move to the United States, to just out and out sex.
