The doctor told me the cataracts in my eyes would get worse, I traveled to Brazil anyway —

I thought my doctor was just trying to meet his monthly income quota and that I would be find for six more months, three months in Brazil and three months in Peru, with cheap rent to help me save for the eye surgery.

WRONG.

No longer than I had been in Brazil for one month, my eyesight diminished to the point of me having to check twice to see what color the red light was.

I almost got hit a couple time because of poor eyesight.

My big screen monitor that I purchased in Acapulco was broken during the journey in my checked luggage and there was no way I could see the laptop screen to create the news videos for my YouTube channel.

I found a man who owned a computer repair shop.

He ordered me a large screen monitor which came within two days.

I increased the size of the screen fonts and continued to create the videos. I was grateful that I never missed a video deadline.

I also developed a far more serious respect for my eye doctor and headed back to Acapulco after three months.

Lucky for me, my three-month Peru accommodations was canceled. Something about the roof collapsing in the high-rise…
