While many may fear being alone, I invite you on a journey to embrace solitude with open arms. Join me as we delve into a life where people dance through life at their own rhythm.

Understanding the Benefits of Being Single and Retired

There are many benefits to being single and retired. For one, you don’t have to answer to anyone but yourself. You can come and go as you please, and do whatever you want with your time. You don’t have to worry about pleasing someone else or making compromises.

In addition, being single and retired allows you to focus on your own happiness. You can pursue your interests and hobbies without having to consider anyone else’s needs or preferences. You can also spend time volunteering, traveling, or simply relaxing — whatever makes you happy.

Sometimes I think it would make me happier if I had a companion to share my world travels with. Plus, it would be easier to have a male counterpart to help me think through security issues — so many decisions when traveling the world, slowly and alone.

Practicing Mindfulness in Solitude

Mindfulness is being present in the moment and focusing on your breath. It can be helpful to practice mindfulness in solitude, as it can help you to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings.
