As a retired Baby Boomer, I asked myself what the best topic for me would be to write about on Medium. If you look at my previous stories, you’d see I jumped around a lot . . . . . until I meditated and demanded a reliable, popular topic that I was qualified to write about.

Having retired on a limited monthly income and remembering when I made the conscious decision to follow my dreams and not my retirement income, I accepted responsibility for my situation. And you know what? I’m happy.

I left the corporate world for self-employment and because I wasn’t a shark, my earnings were enough to provide travel four times a year, a couple of nice cars and a comfortable lifestyle.

I knew in my mid-thirties that I would leave the country and live where I could live well on less while retired. Not only did I reach my goals of living well on less, in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, I am now traveling the world, slowly.

However, if I had to do it all over again, I would travel only twice a year and invested the monies for my retirement. Having said that let’s get down to business.
