If you are one of the millions of Americans who do NOT have a 401K plan or a monthly saving or investment plan for retirement, you are not alone.

There is no shame in having a career that you enjoy which does not deliver a suitable retirement option. It just means your retirement plans may be a little different than most.

Building a tiny home is one reliable option, even for those who are not yet ready for retirement. Paying for retirement accommodations while you are still working is a smart move. Purchasing a plot of land while still working is a progressive move towards preparing for your retirement.

You may not be into the tiny home movement, yet, the benefits of paying for a roof over your head, regardless of what your finances are, places you in a position for wealth building. This holds true, regardless of what age you are. The grey and white tiny house in the image to the left, is a shell and usually sells for around $22,000 USD. Learning how to finish the interior of a tiny house can render a savings of $20,000 to $40,000.

Taking an online class in carpentry will go a long way in helping you to save money.
