Deciding Where to Retire

Do you want to retire offshore but are still figuring out where?

Don’t stress.

You are not alone.

If more people took the time to explore different locations or countries, they would instantly have a more rewarding retirement.

Let me give you an example.

I traveled to Mexico and lived in different areas for six years before staying in the Caribbean for one year and in Central America and South America. I left Puerto Vallarta because the rents doubled in a short period of time. Baby boomers were showing up at the PV Airport by the dozens each day, with no return ticket to the United States.

I love looking at the ocean when I wake up and before I sleep. I know, this is an expensive habit, BUT only in the United States and other developed countries.

When you adjust your standard of living to include other countries, you can overlook the sea for under $700 a month. Adjusting your lifestyle includes becoming more patient, understanding that the electricity may go off for ten minutes every time it rains, or not being able to walk safely on the sidewalks because the sidewalks are uneven, at least in the…
