Iraq’s “White Papers” are a comprehensive program that sets out a clear roadmap to reform the Iraqi economy and address the age-old problems that confront Iraq. The “White Papers” were released in 2020, under the Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.

The papers have two major sections and section two has two sub-sections.

The first section includes a comprehensive vision of the economic realities that the country is going through and the objectives to be achieved.

“The private projects include 64 projects from various ministries and economic sectors and each target sector with a total target of 365, each with a starting and end point for follow-up in accordance with governance mechanisms,” says Alaa Abdul Hussein, advisor to the Prime Minister

The projects were distributed to ministries; 17 projects, oil 7, electricity 6, investment authority 4, and other projects for ministries of commerce, housing and other bodies.

Hussein went on to say, “The second goal is to allow damaged cars to enter Iraq after it was forbidden, which increased the proportion of artisans and provided jobs and many other goals achieved,”
