I am always looking for affordable, safe destinations where ex-pats have already blazed the trail for the arrival of new ex-pats.

This week’s research leads me back to North America, the second or third month of the new year. After leaving Brazil, I will venture further south for the holidays. More on that in an upcoming article.

Here’s the deal: when you book airfare three to six months in advance, your airfare differs greatly from if you book 20 to 30 days before your travel. Therefore, I am always ahead of the game regarding where to travel next.

For those of you who have read my book Travel the World on Social Security, you know that one of my travel policies is to spend less than $400 on airfare unless I have saved for a higher amount.
