Hurricane Otis taught us a lesson we should never forget

Warm ocean water temperatures combined with a tropical storm can turn into a deadly Category 5 within 12 hours.

You know the thought, “I’ll go to the grocery store tomorrow and pick up a few things?”

No.

No.

No.

Do not allow your food supply to ever hit bottom.

Always keep tuna or a similar food item in the house.

Always, keep more water than you are using available.

People in Mexico did NOT have time to prepare. And prepare for what?

When they went to sleep, a tropical storm was coming, nothing more, nothing less. During this time of year, we are used to tropical storms, heavy rain, then silence before the birds begin chirping.

Thus, the city now has looting.

People were caught without food, or water.

Most of the Mexican people will pay the owners of the store as time goes on, but not all. The Mexican people are very family and community conscious.

I am now in the Caribbean.

There are thousands of tourist and visitors stuck in Acapulco at this time. The roads in and out of the city are blocked, and the airport is closed.
