Yes, some writers earn over $500 a month here on Medium. And a few more make even more.
I will not blow smoke in the air by giving you unreasonable examples.
What I will tell you is if you take the time to select a popular niche to write about and follow through on providing helpful content two, three, or even four times a week, you can do okay here on Medium.
If you are retired, then you have an entire life to share with the younger generation.
You will find that the articles here on Medium are personable and speak directly to the audience. If you have made it to retirement age, you have a lot of information you can share. Topics like how to stay married, when to get a divorce, how to raise difficult kids, working and being a parent, saving for retirement, living to retirement, etc. are all doable ideas.
As long as you use good grammar and the words are spelled correctly, you are good. As for editing, you can review the article on the “Read Outloud’ status. You will know when you need to change something.
