Expat, single, want to meet new people? Five safe ways to meet English-speaking people anywhere in the world

1. You can find new friends, groups, and events on Facebook. Locate the expat group for your city and ask to join.

Expat Facebook groups are where you find out the facts about your location. Read the past posts, complaints, gripes, and especially the good stuff.

Instant message anyone you want to meet and ask to meet them in a public place: coffee or tea. You pay, of course.

There are literally millions of English-speaking expats around the world engaging in Expat Facebook Groups.

2. Sign up for a singles travel group. Take a trip three or four times a year and meet new singles in your age group. The travel tours are usually categorized by age. This is a little pricier than the other four recommendations.

For example, for singles, there is an 11-day Caribbean cruise for the holidays beginning December 22 and ending January 2, 2024. Shore excursions included. The cruise departs Florida and visits two continents. Cruises are a great way to meet new friends, and many group travel events create life-long friendships.
