What is this so-called CMPR Certification and why should it matter to you? These are the two questions this article will answer.

CMRP Certification

The CMRP stands for: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional program and is the leading credential for validating the knowledge, skills, and abilities of maintenance, reliability, and physical asset management professionals. Okay, so what does that really mean?

It means, if you are planning on launching a path for a more successful career in maintenance and equipment asset, then you may want to know more. The CMRP Certification is another way to DIFFERENTIATE those who demonstrate excellence in maintenance and reliability FROM those who just have a job in the industry. The important word here is “differentiate.”

Now you may ask what is the difference in the CMRP Certification and the Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)? The CMRP is for you if you are already heavily involved in equipment maintenance and are seeking more responsibility in that area where as the CRE exam is focused on the skills needed to ensure product and manufacturing reliability. The body of knowledge is based on seven skills needed to produce high quality products that meet specific customer needs.
